Washi tape is a fun way to add colour to your page. You can simply use lines of tape for fun accents, create backgrounds, borders, tip-ins or even tabs. The washi tape from these pictures came in a four pack from Kmart NZ for $4 so each tape is about $1.
I like washi as a border as it allows you to add a separate post on the same page later. Tabs are quick and easy, just fold over a bit of tape and if you would like, cut a triangle out of it. Washi as a background is another way to colour your page. The great thing about washi, is that it is easily removable. If you don't like what you have done, simply lift up and start again.

Washi is one of the most common way that bible journalers add tip-ins. You can add a tip in with double sided tape as I showed you in a previous post, but the pretty colours and patterns of washi is another fun way to add a tip-in. The tip-in below gives me more space to add my journaling.
